Health Care and Rehabilitation Services (HCRS), southeastern Vermont’s non-profit community mental-health agency, proudly announces its 5th upcoming multidisciplinary art exhibition to be held at the 118 Elliot Gallery in Brattleboro, Vermont throughout the month of April. Showcasing the diverse talents of artists within the HCRS community, both seasoned professionals and emerging talents, the event promises to be a celebration of creativity and resilience.
The exhibition will feature the works of many artists affiliated with HCRS, both people receiving services and their staff, offering a glimpse into the rich tapestry of artistic expression nurtured by the non-profit agency.
The opening reception is scheduled for Friday, April 5, from 5:30 to 8:30 pm, featuring live musical performances and light refreshments to enhance the vibrant atmosphere.
HCRS cordially invites the community to join them at the opening reception, embracing the opportunity to revel in the transformative power of art. Additionally, the public is encouraged to explore the artwork during designated open hours at 118 Elliot: Fridays (April 12, 19 & 26) 4:00-7:00 pm, Saturdays (April 6, 13, 20 & 27) 12:00-4:00 pm, and Sundays (April 7, 14, 21, & 28) 12:00-4:00 pm.
The organization’s dedicated staff, Jonathan Mattoon and Nickie Godin, spearhead the annual exhibition, extending their passion for art wellness to those they support. Mattoon shares, “More people are beginning to recognize the connection between art, healing, and public health. Our show is an excellent opportunity for the community to view the creative expressions made by our staff and the individuals we serve across our agency.” Mattoon concludes, “Please come and enjoy the event and learn more about what HCRS does for our community!”
