WHO WE ARE, PORTRAITS OF BRATTLEBORO, is coming to 118 Gallery. This show, comprised of local artists—in affiliation with
River Gallery School—is going to scrape off some of the grime, and leave you smiling.
Have you seen some of Leigh Niland’s series, The Secret Lives of Shopkeepers? These alone will be worth the visit. Also featured are paintings by Leonard Ragouzeos (shown), Robert Thomson, and Ralph DeAnna.
We are filling the room to the rafters with the faces of people you see all the time. But do we see each other truly? These portraits invite us to look closer, past the selfies and drive-by encounters, into an aspect of each other that we might well have missed.
Opening Reception, Friday, October 5th, 5:30 -8:30pm.
Gallery Hours on Saturdays 12-5pm and by appointment c/o lcmendelsund@gmail.com 802-257-2757
