Robert Irwin: A Desert of Pure Feeling offers an intimate portrait of one of America’s most influential and unconventional artists. Beginning as a painter in Los Angeles, Irwin ultimately abandoned traditional art making to explore light, space, perception, and the nature of human experience. Through archival footage, intimate conversations, and immersive views of his installations, the film traces a remarkable career that continually challenged the boundaries of art. A thought-provoking and visually captivating journey, the film invites us to see and experience the world with fresh eyes.
