African Drumming & Dancing

African Dance Vermont is thrilled to welcome back a well-loved and respected dance teacher, Pape Ba, originally from Senegal. Elhadji Mamadou Ba, also known as “Pape” Ba, is a master drummer and dancer from Senegal, West Africa. The drum class is from 6:00 to 7:00 pm and the cost is $10. The dance class will happen from 7:00 to 8:30 pm, both at 118 Elliot in Brattleboro, Vt. The cost is on a sliding scale of $12 – 15. Derrik Jordan, Lisa Newell and friends will accompany on drums. It’s a new year and a great time to learn something new, move your body, get exposed to a different and wonderful culture and have fun! All levels are welcome. Wear clothes that you can move in and bring a water bottle.
